The 2026 SML Songwriters Festival takes place June 12–14, 2026 at venues throughout Smith Mountain Lake.

How much are festival tickets?

Almost all SML Songwriters Festival events are free to attend. The only ticketed event of the weekend is the Saturday night concert featuring Brady Seals.

Do I need a ticket for each event?

The only ticketed event is our Saturday night headliner concert featuring Brady Seals. All other festival performances are free and open to the public.

Can I attend more than one event during the weekend?

Absolutely! The festival is designed for attendees to explore different venues and enjoy a variety of artists throughout the weekend.

What is a songwriter round?

A songwriter round is an intimate performance where several songwriters take turns sharing the stories behind their songs and performing them acoustically. It’s one of the most unique and personal live music experiences you’ll find.
