From Mississippi roots to Tennessee boots, Collins Horton was raised by a Strong Christian man and a Southern Preacher’s Daughter. His mother played the congregational piano at the tender age of 8 years old well into her adulthood. Collins was influenced by the constant echoing of traditional gospel hymns that his mother played in his childhood home. He discovered his passion for writing when his parents gifted him his first guitar at the age of 13 and his passion for songwriting began.
Since his move to Nashville to pursue music, he has shared stages with hit songwriters and artists such as: Pam Tillis, Rodney Atkins, Ashley McBryde, D. Vincent Williams, and Terri Jo Box to name a few. Although his future is unwritten, one thing is certain…Collins Horton is carving out his place in Country music with his captivating storytelling and traditional country songs.
